Meet Dr. Michael Carnahan, MD
Dr. Michael Carnahan, MD was born in Lawton and went to undergrad at OU. He attended OU School of Medicine from 1982 to 86. His residency in family practice was done at St Joseph’s program in Wichita, KS and completed in 1989 and is still currently board certified in family medicine. He has been in practice with Dr. McCulloh in Ardmore since that time.
Initially, Dr. Carnahan delivered babies for the first few years in practice (which he loved). He has worked in occupational medicine at Michelin, in-patient behavioral medicine, in- patient medicine, pediatrics, and rehab. He has been medical director of nursing homes, home health, and hospice organization, and has also been a teaching preceptor for the OU and OCU PA programs and have taught multiple students through the years. He lled several teams to Uganda Africa to do medical mission work. He and Dr. McCulloh have always had a heart to serve our community and helped start the Good Shepherd Clinic along with others in our community to help the underserved. He and his beautiful wife Shawna and have raised three wonderful children here in Ardmore and are active in the Methodist Church.
Dr. Carnahan says that he feels so blessed to serve in this community and to continue to be a part of Good Shepherd Community Clinic.
